Api-Support is an NGO which advocates for the growth and competitiveness of the beekeeping industry in Tanzania. For nearly 12 years, the organization was operating as “Tanzania Honey Council” (THC), a non-profit entity, registered as Company Limited by guarantee and having no share capital.

OUR FOCUS

Capacity Building

Api-Support carryout specific projects for capacity building of grassroots producers to engage meaningfully in the management of apiaries, bee colonies, harvesting and hygienic handling of bee products.

Networking

Api-Support promotes networking and cooperation processes among producers, traders, BSOs and experts. Networking has created a forum for value chain players in the beekeeping sector to interact and share knowledge.

Policy Advocacy

Api-Support assist producers or acts on its own to identify specific agenda relating to policy, laws and regulations obstacles touching beekeeping and trade thereof and develop a strategy for their advocacy.
